This is great! I noticed from the thread on the Tacitus page that you had problems with the installation too. I run Windows 7 under Parallels on a Mac, and my video card is ShaderModel 4.0-capable, has all the directX stuff and the dll and the c++2008 installed as Xyrus said, but it still won't start. Claims there is not enough storage to complete the operation. Xyrus doesn't know what's wrong, although he thinks something is up with the graphics driver (nvidia geforce 9400m). RAM is 2GB and video memory 256MB. If you have any brilliant ideas please let me know!!!

Trying it again. Any sort of tutorials out there? I managed to discover the properties button and rotate/zoom/etc (etc denoting the large number of things I'm clueless about). Rendering a small one to see what shows up (don't have high expectations considering what is showing in the preview). How do I get objects other than MandelbrotBulb?...
:frustrated:

This program is of course very new, its only been out since 4th Jan. So its kind of a beta test and still has bugs, but ive been talking to the maker and they will be fixed soon and then we will have more control over it, and also i think hes planning other plugins, at the moment there is only the mandelbulb to play with .. i think one of the reasons for this is that everyone wanted to play and render the bulbs for themselves and hadnt found a decent program to render it with till now ... xyrus does great work on giving us these free programs to work with, we just have to be patient and later there will probaly be tuts as well :-) One tip he did give me that helped was this [link] there are some explantions there on the controls :-)

Thank You very much!!! So the point of this presently is to zoom around and find
sweet spots and render them? Tweeking some of the parameters to get a feel for the bulb?
